Here’s my weekly round-up of worthwhile reads.
I read quite a bit from The Gospel Coalition this week, as you can see:
- Trump Administration to Teachers: You Must Use a Transgender Student’s “Preferred Pronouns”
“While the activists (backed by the government) can’t force person to deny the reality that a boy is not a girl just because he choose to “identify” as one, they want the power—again backed up by the force of law—to force people to deny reality in their use of language. In other words, while they can’t force us change our minds, they can force us to pretend that we are in agreement with their agenda.”
- THE MOST DIFFICULT VERSE IN THE BIBLE
“This is one of those chapters from which we would rather look away.We would rather imagine a God who was only mercy.
We would rather imagine a God who was slightly less antagonistic towards human rebellion and sin.
However, the Bible does not give us such a God.” – This article also has a great reminder of why Bible Reading is so important!
- 9 Things You Should Know About North Korea
I always thought they were crazy, but I had no idea they were this extreme!
I’m a Pediatrician. How Transgender Ideology Has Infiltrated My Field and Produced Large-Scale Child Abuse.
“transgender ideology is not just infecting our laws. It is intruding into the lives of the most innocent among us—children—and with the apparent growing support of the professional medical community.”
Target Sees Consequences of Accommodating Sinful Behavior?
“As Christians, we aren’t against transgender people when we point out their behavior is sinful.” – It seems that this sort of thing is ALL over the net, and sadly, that’s because it is. It is a BIG topic that doesn’t look to be stopping anytime soon. My recommendation, make sure that you are equipped to be able to effectively share the Gospel with ALL people, even people who struggle with their “gender”. (pssst, I’ll be reading Transforming Homosexuality soon and I think you should too.)
Millions Of Unbelievers Flock To Atheist Paradise Of North Korea
Babylonbee continues to bring the laughs; which is a welcome break after the previous articles!

5 Reasons I’m a Calvinist
With all the links to current affairs and what-not, I figured it was sometime for some theology. So, in light of that, here is a nice summary of a theological position that I hold. (pssst, if this interests you, you should definitely read Doctrines of Grace & The Joy of Calvinism)
